Inclusion & Diversity

Pedro do Carmo Costa

Pedro do Carmo Costa is a serial entrepreneur and industrial production engineer, best known as a co founder of Pulsely and for a mission to help organisations create more inclusive cultures. Born in Mozambique, having lived in Brazil, the USA, and the UK, he considers himself a Lisboeta, and is as compelling on innovation and contemporary art as he is on inclusion.

At The Epic Talent Society, Pedro brings his talk The Business of Inclusion, built on the idea that if companies are to represent the society they serve, they must address diversity, and it is essential to start with inclusion.

In an era where diversity is widely discussed, the question is how we move from inviting different people to the party to creating an environment where everyone dances.

As a speaker, Pedro draws on studies showing that including the people already inside organisations has a real impact on innovation, commitment, and retention.

On the frontier of inclusion, Pedro challenges organisations to see that inclusion is not just the right thing to do, it is good for business.
